Give Them More Than a Song

Give Them More Than a Song

If you have ever recorded a worship song, it is an exhilarating experience, but also a lot of work. First there is the writing, wrestling with the words to make them work with the music and rhyme, and say what God has put on your heart to say. There is capturing the right melodies, and putting them together. If you are making a studio recording, there is the process of lining up a producer, players or your band, and the preparation of the tracks if used.  Then there is the recording, sometimes over multiple sessions. You and the producer sifting through the mixes, finding the right ones. Adding the effects, mixing, mastering. Then there is the distribution. Preparing the masters.  Uploading them for the CD or digital distribution process. Tagging the MP3.s, Creating cover art. Social media, etc, etc. For a quality recording, it can be months of effort.

Worshipsong Band 3.1 Released

Worshipsong Band 3.1 Released

Worshipsong Band version 3.1 is now releasing for all platforms: Windows, MacOS, IOS, and Android.  For version 3.1, we  have added several new features to allow much more dynamic flow of your service with Worshipsong Band. The most innovative of these is a brand new type of multi-layered pad we call Atmospheres. We've teamed with Jeff McCullough (Tree Hill Collective, JumpStart3) to bring the capabilities of his new app Altar the Atmosphere to Worshipsong Band. Atmospheres are designed to be used in altar times, prayer times, before and after services, and anytime your service calls for unstructured music. They can be used where you might otherwise have a guitarist or keyboardist playing underneath whatever is going on in your service. Technically, Atmospheres are special multitracks provided in several keys that are designed to be played in any key, for any length of time, and offer a simple slider control to layer the elements. Atmospheres can switch keys on the fly, and fade into one another seamlessly, and be played with a simple long-press on the library menu. The Altar the Atmosphere app launched earlier this year with a collection of 9 Atmospheres to choose from (with more on the way) and all of the content can now be used in Worshipsong Band. You can buy the complete set of 9 at this link. Watch Atmospheres in action:
